About the Department

The Undergraduate Department of Nutrition offers Honours Courses which was established in our college affiliated to The University of Burdwan in the year 2006-2007. The syllabus/Curriculum includes various subjects like Nutritional Physiology, Nutritional Biochemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, Nutrition Science, Dietetics, Diet Therapy and many more. The Nutrition Department has two permanent Faculty members, Two State – aided College teachers and One Nutrition attendant Staff who try to their best for the betterment of the Department and the students. The teachers of the department conduct regular classes and monthly examinations to improve the quality of the students. Occasional problem solving classes are taken. Personal issues are taken care of with utmost care.

Demonstrate excellent skills ability to identify the problems in nutritional sciences and solve them accordingly. To prepare students for providing services in professional, governmental, and local community organizations as a nutritionist or dietitian. Understanding students personal problems regarding proper nutrition.

The main motto of Nutrition Department is to enable the students to explore the opportunities and challenges in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics, to become entrepreneurs, researchers and administrators. Providing the highest quality nutritional care. Prescribing a balanced diet to prevent nutritional deficiencies.
